To qualify as an entrepreneur, CIC requires you to prove that you have at least two years of experience in business and a net worth of at least CAN$300,000. In addition, you must commit to purchasing and operating a business in Canada that will create jobs and contribute to the economy. In addition, you must earn at least 35 points on a selection grid that measures the likelihood that you will be able to establish yourself economically in Canada.
Immigrating to Canada - Investors
To qualify as an investor, CIC requires you to prove that you have at least two years of experience in business and a net worth of at least CAN$800,000. In addition, you must earn at least 35 points on a selection grid that measures the likelihood that you will be able to establish yourself economically in Canada. And before a visa is issued, you must make an investment of $400,000 to CIC.
Immigrating to Canada - Self-Employed Persons
To qualify as a self-employed person, CIC requires you to prove that you have at least two years of experience in business and that you plan to become self-employed upon your arrival in Canada. In addition, you earn at least 35 points on a selection grid that measures the likelihood that you will be able to establish yourself economically in Canada.
