Canada Welcomes Foreign Specialized Cleaners Under New ELMO Pilot Project

In Canada, specialized cleaners clean a variety of specialized environments, including the interior and exterior of trucks, cars and vans; industrial and residential carpets and drapes; upholstery; and the interiors and exteriors of windows. Specialized cleaners are also trained to use a variety of specialized cleaning equipment.

- Operate specialized cleaning machines to clean carpets, rugs, upholstery, curtains and floors
- Wash the interior and exterior of windows on commercial buildings and highrises
- Climb ladders or scaffolding to clean windows
- Supervise and schedule other cleaning employees
