Business Visitors from Russia to Canada
If you're a Russian businessperson and you wish to make a temporary visit to Canada, you must obtain a temporary resident visa (TRV). Please note that this is different from coming to Canada to work. Here are some guidelines to help you determine if you qualify.
Russian Business Visitors - A Definition
You qualify as a business visitor from Russia if you are coming to Canada to:
- Meet with representatives from companies that do business in Russia
- Visit business sites
- Attend business meetings
- Receive product and/or sales training
Russian Business Visitors - Where to Apply
If you wish to travel to Canada as business visitor from Russia, you may apply for a temporary resident visa by mail or in person at the nearest Canadian consulate.
Business Visitors from Russia - Required Documents
When applying to be accepted as a business visitor from Russia, you will need to include the following documents with your visa application:
- A valid passport
- Two passport-sized photos
- Two application forms per person
- The appropriate application fee (certified cheque, money order or bank draft only)
- A letter of invitation from your business host in Canada
- A letter of approval from your employer in Russia
- Two family information forms per person
Please note that additional documents may be required to determine eligibility. Applications are normally processed within 15 business days.
